Dr. Drew Edwards is a Behavioral Neuroscientist, co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer at the Neurogenesis Project (NGP). The NGP conducts translational research for precise clinical application, specializing on neuropsychiatric disease, Reward Deficiency Syndrome, Genetic and Heritable Conditions, Epilepsy. Additionally we diagnose and treat TBI, neuroinflammatory disease, refractory depression, chronic stress, obesity, etc...Comprehensive cognitive function eval and ongoing testing and analysis. Formerly Dr. Edwards was Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Health Behavior at the Medical College of Georgia, while concurrently serving as the Executive Administrator for three inpatients psychiatric programs, the out patient faculty practice, and satellite clinics for the MCG's Statewide Heath System. Dr Edwards held a similar position at the University of Florida, as the Associate Director of the Department of Psychiatry. His clinical appointment included clinical education for medical residents and post doctoral fellows in the Division of Addiction Medicine. A prolific writer, Dr. Edwards recently co-authored a chapter on Reward Deficiency Syndrome for Cambridge University Press, textbook of substance (and behavioral addiction (2020). He also co authored a chapter on Professional Boundary Violations among licensed clinicians for the American Psychological Association (APA) in 2021. Dr. Edwards has published over 300 peer-reviewed and popular articles on Neuropsychiatric Illness, Addiction Medicine, Obesity & Cardiometabolic Disorders, Parenting, and Youth Culture. He along with partner and interventional neurologist Dr Sean Orr, he provides Continuing Medical Education (CME) and training for physicians. He has published books for parents on childhood depression and instilling self-esteem in children.
