I am a senior at Tarleton State University pursuing a civil engineering degree with a minor in mathematics. I am the newly named "Engineering Ambassador" at Tarleton State University. I recently traveled to UNC, Charlotte for a focused training workshop on the assertion-evidence approach to communicating technical information with a variety of audiences. As an Engineering Ambassador, I will provide valuable engineering and STEM outreach to my surrounding communities to help increase access to post-secondary opportunities in STEM and diversify the field. I was also chosen to represent the Mayfield School of Engineering by being the spokesperson for the Prime Video streamed show "The College Tour". It was a great experience to get to highlight the engineering school and talk about my passion for engineering. It was a fantastic experience, and I appreciate all of my co-workers who guided me to do the best job I could. My internship with Westwood allowed me to get more hands-on experience in the industry.
