As a seasonal lifeguard II for California State Parks in the Angeles District, I have had the opportunity to provide safety and reassurance to many. I started when I was sixteen as a seasonal lifeguard I, working primarily in lifeguard towers on the sand. Right before my third summer in 2019, I was promoted to a seasonal lifeguard II and started working mostly in units which travel and respond within our district's stretch of coastline. As a seasonal lifeguard II, it is my responsibility to provide backup to the lifeguards in the towers for any rescue or medical call. Furthermore, I have been tasked with consistently dispatching for our district's lifeguards, staff scheduling, general and specialized training, uniform purchasing, and candidate interviews.

During my time as a crew member at Trader Joe's I was able to build upon my years in customer service and get more hands on experience in a different setting that I was not already familiar with. I was there in the busiest season of the year and was able to efficiently work with the other crew members to ensure our customers had a pleasant and fulfilling experience during the holiday season.

Oxnard College offers an ocean lifeguarding course during the Spring semester where they teach the material and skills from the United States Lifesaving Association. As a professional expert/instructor for this course it was my job to prep and load materials for lab instruction, teach lessons on ocean lifeguarding techniques to the students, demonstrate skills for the class, and serve as water safety during group workouts and events.

Throughout my time as head coach of the Thousand Oaks High School JV Girl's Water Polo team, I was able to pass on my wealth of knowledge about the sport as well as provide a positive role model for my athletes to look towards for guidance. I had the opportunity to help fine tune and teach the fundamentals of the sport to young women who were looking to excel in athletics as well as in school.

I started there when I was ten years old and worked consistently throughout my late teens. Starting at such a young age, I was able to learn about hard work, dedication, customer service, and integrity by the way my parents ran our business. Throughout a shift I would be working in a fast pace environment most times, having to balance running food, taking orders, handling transactions, cleaning, and managing customer service.
