Traveling instructor for wilderness first aid training courses.

Supervise 20+ instructors teaching 10-30 day wilderness expeditions throughout Chilean Patagonia. Responsibilities also include: coaching staff development through comprehensive briefings and debriefings, coordination of logistics between branch staff, land managers and private services, co-development of teamwork, risk management plans and curriculum goals with instructor teams, debriefing the students experience to gain insight into the course outcomes. Also responsible for coordinating and monitoring complex evacuations from a variety of remote areas as necessary.

Course Leader on wilderness and rock and glacier mountaineering courses, Patrol Leader on climbing and caving courses.

Performed preventative and routine maintenance, service checks, and safety inspections for building systems in three (3) buildings. (Noble Hotel, NOLS HQ, NOLS Rocky Mountain Branch) Systems include large-scale HVAC with automated controls, solar arrays, plumbing, sprinkler systems and electricity.Assisted with planning and implementation of special projects; responded to daily maintenance and service requests.Facilitated large-scale construction and renovation projects at satellite RM locations (Boathouse and staff housing in Vernal and student bunkhouse and bathhouse at Three Peaks Ranch). On both of these projects I often worked independently of my supervisor both in actual construction and supervising sub-contractors and multiple employees.

Assisted Master Carpenters with all tasks related to residential and light commercial construction (especially foundations, framing, door and window installation and roofing).

Performed routine maintenance on clients' grounds, worked on installations of plants, trees and patios. Worked with multiple small engine appliances and tools.

Taught middle school students in an environmental education program while contributing to the upkeep and improvement of facilities. Helped rebuild multiple cabins, worked on plumbing and HVAC projects and resurfaced outdoor tennis courts.

Learned basic carpentry skills from a Master Carpenter while assisting with remodels, renovations, and additions. Including framing, roofing, siding, drywall installation and finishing, and finish carpentry

Led backpacking, climbing and caving trips for incoming First-Year students and campus community.Facilitated ropes course experiences for campus groups and outside clients.

Cared for grounds (trimming and mowing as well as light maintenance and trash removal) at multiple park locations. Assisted permanent staff with care and repair of two (2) swimming pools, ice rink and multiple outbuildings.
