About Over a period of thirteen years, I dedicated myself to excellence in the purchasing function. My work required me to develop and strengthen relationships with a number of nationally respected brands, including New Balance athletic shoes, Levi Strauss (Summer Olympic Apparel) and Jimmy Z’s surfwear. My purchasing expertise, combined with strengths in operations helped me make strong contributions to business growth. By increasing inventory turns, I helped a company grow from $7 million to $125 million in annual sales in seven years. An important part of my work was representing my employers – becoming their presence with top clients nationwide. After an industry shift to overseas procurement, I decided to take my strengths in marketing, developing rapport and sales to a role as a consultant. I have worked with four companies during that period. Prior to my professional career, I had the opportunity, as a member of the Peace Corps to live and work in Brazil and Belize. I have a broad, inclusive, multi-country, multi-cultural world view, shaped by having been in 45 states and 11 foreign countries. I have traveled extensively throughout my career.
