I have two great loves in my life: learning and the Oxford comma. As a life-long learner, I have always enjoyed the rush of excitement from learning something new and then sharing it with others. This passion for erudition has motivated me to study a diverse set of fields and dedicate my professional career to academia. While I might not be teaching in a classroom anymore, I still look for ways to help communities and organizations discover new ideas and learn from varied opportunities. Particularly, I enjoy working to develop new programs, connect communities, and create opportunities for students; while promoting the virtues of using a serial comma. I have had a lot of great opportunities over the past few years, including working at the Institute for Engineering Education and Innovation, teaching at Renmin University, and being a regional coordinator for the National Ocean Science Bowl (NOSB). Currently, I am the Assistant Director for Program Engagement at Texas A&M Institute of Data Science, where I work with exceptional and equally passionate people every day. I lead project development and implementation, support ongoing projects, and find opportunities to collaborate with the broader academic community.
