Hey there! I’m Drew St. John, originally from Hudsonville, Michigan, now living in Northern Illinois with my wife and three kids. I hold a biology degree from Wheaton College, where I initially pursued a future as a livestock veterinarian. During college, I drove home every break and long weekend to work at Integrity Tree Services. I found myself power washing, working in the heavy equipment shop, and eventually on land clearing and line clearing crews. I spent a summer in lower Michigan mist-netting bats for a transmission line “Indiana bat” study. This hands-on experience pushed me headlong into a career in utility vegetation management.After college, I moved to West Virginia, managing major transmission line clearing projects and gaining operational leadership experience. In 2019, we moved back to Illinois, where I spent three years at Davey Resource Group. There, I ran the capital work orders program for a prominent investor-owned utility in Northern Illinois, which deepened my understanding of the distribution side of the industry. I then returned to Integrity Tree Services as an Account Manager for the Southeast region, eventually becoming Director of Sales.Recently, I joined Growth Solutions, Rainbow Companies' vegetation management branch. I've long admired their science-based approach to tree growth regulators in utility vegetation management. Being part of it now is both humbling and exciting!Throughout my career, I've developed a passion for financial literacy in blue collar industries and communities. I enjoy helping my colleagues manage their finances and break loose from negative financial patterns. I'm very interested in speaking with anyone who shares this interest.
