Director Of Operations
In this role I oversaw the volunteers, mission teams, facilities, meal services, and emergency homelessness services for the organization. I worked with more than 2,500 volunteers annually. I helped individual volunteers, groups, companies, churches, clubs, and more find meaningful ways to serve. I was responsible for creating and maintaining a well rounded volunteer experience with appreciation events and more. Additionally, I oversaw the mission teams that would come to Atlanta to serve. I organized their housing, meals, transportation, projects, staffing, and more for the teams. I also oversaw each of the evening dinners. I built a team of staff and volunteers to provide a safe environment where people could get a hot dinner each night. Finally, I oversaw the emergency homelessness services that we provided. I again built a team, help establish policy and procedures, systems, and more to ensure that these services were provided in a efficient and effective way. Finally, in this role, I would from time to time represent the organization in the community. I have spoken at churches, companies, clubs, and more about the organization and the issue of homelessness.
