Recorded in his home studio in Nashville, Drew Michael Blake's debut full-length album, 'Blame The Miles Between', was self-released in 2016 to critical acclaim. Drew's mix of singer/songwriter influences and soulful rock and roll recall names like Jackson Browne and Van Morrison, as well as comparisons to more recent artists such as Dawes, Hozier, and Josh Ritter. Drew has previously been a featured artist on Nashville's Independent Radio Station, Lightning 100, and co-wrote three songs on the 2014 album 'Animal Evolve' by Neulore on Island/Chop Shop Records. In 2011, Drew recorded and released a 4 song EP, 'The Shot. The Push. The Shove'. In 2016 Drew began a web video series called Hasty Takes, featuring intimate, one-take videos of artists performing in their homes. Most recently, Drew released a timely single, 'Our Lives at Stake', that did not appear on 'Blame The Miles Between. Disregarding the normal album promotion cycle, Drew felt it was important to share this song of protest against the deep divisions growing in American society.

I felt like a musical tourist. I used to have a music collection that I connected with and served as the soundtrack to my life. I had a relationship with the albums and artists that affected me deeply. After a few years of using music streaming service, I felt this disconnect deeply. I started talking tracks to make time to connect with music intimately in a novelty-driven, playlist-centered world. Each week I would select and artist or pick a topic for discussion.
