Direct Charge Core Program Manager
CurrentMultifaceted leader responsible for coordinating various aspects of workforce management, policy implementation, and disaster mitigation in FEMA’s Mitigation Cadre Management Branch. Key responsibilities include:• Provide subject matter expertise on Mitigation Disaster Field Leadership for Working Groups and Advisory Groups, and provide Mitigation input into crafting of national-level policies, procedures, senior level trainings courses, and exercises.• Integrate internal and external programs, policies, and procedures affecting the CORE workforce.• Analyze and evaluate program effectiveness and operational efficiency.• Strategically plan and execute hiring goals in coordination with relevant stakeholders.• Manage recruitment and ensure compliance with hiring and qualification standards.• Oversee training, mentorship, and qualification processes for disaster readiness.• Handle personnel issues, including resolving complaints, providing disciplinary measures, and advising employees.• Manage personnel deployment for operational support, particularly during disaster events.• Supervise and coordinate the work of the Disaster CORE workforce, including task assignment, performance evaluation, and training.Overall, provide a combination of leadership, coordination, policy advice, and administrative tasks to ensure effective workforce management and operational readiness in disaster response scenarios.
