Responsible for all facets of the preventive maintenance and repair of airplanes, to ensure aircraft are airworthy and all technical aspects are documented properly.- Perform maintenance on Airbus A320s and A321s at LAX, completing task cards, conducting standard daily and weekly checks, and troubleshooting ad-hoc problems and write-ups.- Assist flight crew in problem-solving during gate calls before takeoff, making sure issues are addressed, documented, and/or deferred properly.

Promoted from Aircraft Mechanic 1 working at the SLO airport to Aircraft Mechanic 2 working at LAX. Complete service checks on passenger jets, answer line calls, and ensure airworthiness and safety. -Perform line checks, 100-hour inspections, and 200-hour inspections on Bombardier CRJ-200, Bombardier CRJ-700 and Embraer E-175. Completed familiarization classes on all three aircraft. -Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on an average of 10 planes daily. -Document work and sign off on aircraft in accordance with company and FAA policies, using appropriate manuals as a guide.-Go on road trips to other airports as needed, including Burbank, Long Beach, and Santa Barbara.
