Although I was a professional banker for over sixteen years, working within the real estate & new construction industry, I entered into missions work in mid 2002 after writing and publishing my first book. These have been some of the most rewarding years of my life although some of the most difficult. I have seen what no human should see, been so blessed with more that I could ever ask for, and still cannot seem to give enough to fill the breaking hearts of the multitudes of mothers who must tuck their hungry children into bed at night. Sadly these aren't really beds, but simply a cloth, towel, or palms fallen from trees on which they lay beneath a roof mended together by vines. The roof is not strong enough to withstand the torrential rains that invade the only thing they know as "home"...a "pay tay". It's simply a straw and grass hut made by hand and the only means of escaping the elements to most in the underdeveloped country of Haiti. Although they have little they do have something that most American's are missing, they possess TRUE unconditional love for one another.Although still in banking as professional consultant with PNC, I will forever seek my first love of helping others.This is the life I've lived for the past years and one which I wish all would have the opportunity to experience; for we cannot truly enjoy life until we realize how truly blessed we are.
