Currently, a senior data scientist at McLaren Applied within the Connected Intelligence Analytics team where I have been leading a team of data scientists with a simulation engineer to develop cloud-based analytics products and features. Projects have been engineering focused, for example, a near real time driver recommendations for the mining truck to reduce fuel usage and ultimately CO2 emissions. Prior to this I was a postdoctoral research associate in planetary physics at Imperial College London. I used a wide range of data analysis, visualisation, and statistical methods to perform novel research on Saturn's space environment using data from the NASA Cassini mission. I authored and co-authored over 40 research papers. I have teaching and supervision experience. I sat on a national council representing my research field. My research was internationally recognised by the award of the Planetary and Solar System Sciences Division Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award 2022 from the European Geosciences Union (EGU), the leading organisation for Earth, planetary and space science research in Europe.From Feb 2020 - March 2021, I was the Research Excellence Framework (REF) Impact Officer for the Faculty of Natural Sciences (0.8 FTE) Imperial College London. I managed and delivered a portfolio of 32 research impact case studies across the 5 departments within the Faculty for the university's REF2021 submission. In the REF2021 results Imperial College London's research impact was the highest of the Russell Group universities
