About Imran Amin, Ph.D.

I am a Dean of Faculty (Computing and Engineering Sciences) at SZABIST, a leading university in Pakistan, and a Co-Founder of a stealth startup that leverages generative AI and large language models to create innovative solutions for various industries. I have over 16 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in the field of artificial intelligence, internet of things, and manufacturing.My mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in AI and its applications, and to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, faculty, and industry partners. I have co-authored multiple patents and publications in various domains, such as microwave-based steel melting, hybrid furnaces, and sound representation in static media. I have also co-led the National Center for Big Data and Cloud Computing, a consortium of 12 universities and 40 industry partners that aims to address the challenges and opportunities of big data and cloud computing in Pakistan.
