Dr. Jay Deshmukh has participated in various seminars, panel discussions and orations organised by various associations such as the Indian Medical Association, the National Academy of Medical Sciences, the Diabetic Association of India and the Cardiological Society of India (Nagpur branch). He has presented many papers and has delivered numerous orations and lectures on various aspects of rheumatology, connective tissue disorder, diabetes and other medical topics. In addition, Dr. Deshmukh has attended numerous conferences in India and overseas, including those organised by the American College of Cardiology, the European Association for the Study of Diabetes, World Congress in Cardiology, etc.
