Dr. Joe Benson is the Founder and CEO of The Medical League, one of the world’s most inclusive and trusted providers of medico-legal services and digital solutions for all healthcare professionals. Joe is a NHS consultant in Emergency Medicine as well as a Medico-Legal Representative supporting GPs and Nurses. Joe formerly worked in Commissioning for Oxfordshire PCTs. He has sat on numerous LNC and held various national union posts. He is also a certified Case Investigator, Case Manager, Appraiser and Trained RO. Based on Joe’s experiences and observations he developed a passion to help healthcare professionals who found themselves in helpless situations from legal issues including GMC cases; employment disputes, bullying, harassment and discrimination to helping with compliance to practise such as appraisals, revalidation, and e-learning needs. Joe went on to create The Medical League to provide access to medico-legal services for all healthcare professionals from hospital doctors and GPs’, nurses, to dentists and allied healthcare professionals. The company also offers hassle free, user friendly, secure and compliant digital solutions for appraisal, revalidation and e-learning services through a self-service portal.
