At EFFECT, I focused on the fibre alignment phase of the packaging process of an SFP TROSA. My role involved not just conceptualizing and designing, but also building and maintaining both the stations and their corresponding software.When I joined in 2017, the fibre alignment process was notably inefficient. It often took up to an hour, was challenging to manage, and frequently resulted in unsatisfactory yields. However, under my guidance, this process underwent a significant transformation.A few years later, fibre alignment became a benchmark process within our facility. It is now managed seamlessly by the operations team, achieving a stellar yield rate of over 95% and an impressive average process duration of just 7 minutes, with a unit per hour (UPH) rate of 12.
