Taking care of pets and their people is what it’s all about for me.As a small animal general practitioner, I am frequently called upon to be the surgeon, dentist, internist, psychiatrist, pediatrician, ob/gyn and more. The diversity of what I do and my ability to help people and their pets makes my job fun and exciting.I am chief-of-staff, medical director and owner of Olney-Sandy Spring Veterinary Hospital, a busy 5-doctor practice. So, I am also a businesswoman and people manager in addition to being a doctor. I like to encourage our team members to be the best that they can be. At OSSVH, we are on the cutting edge of medicine and technology without losing sight of the individual patient and the doctor-patient-client relationship. We focus heavily on learning so that we can keep up with the rapidly changing field of medicine. Our team members attend continuing education meetings and wet labs and bring back what they learn to share with the rest of us. Everyone is encouraged to find their niche within our practice and to advance their knowledge by certifying in their areas of interest.I also enjoy breeding, training and showing dogs. I bred and co-own (with Rachael Hoffmann, my mom) GCh. Earthsong Remedy for the Blues, a top-winning Miniature Schnauzer dog.
