Liz Jackson is Professor of Education at the University of Hong Kong. Previously she was Professor and Head of the Department of International Education at the Education University of Hong Kong. She is also a Fellow and the Immediate Past President of the Philosophy of Education Society of Australasia, and the past Director of the Comparative Education Research Centre at the University of Hong Kong. Liz has worked in Hong Kong for over 12 years. Before Hong Kong, Liz worked as an educational administrator overseeing policy across 17 campuses of the Higher Colleges of Technology, United Arab Emirates, and as a policy consultant for the South African Department of Education (North-West Province and KwaZulu-Natal). She studied in the United States and United Kingdom, and has also worked in Turkey and Mexico. Dr. Jackson is a dedicated researcher and educator. Her work explores multicultural education and diversity, patriotic and national education, and other sociological, philosophical, and policy features of schooling across contexts and locations. She has published over 400 research outputs, including over 200 books, book chapters, and journal articles, exploring education in a wide variety of societies around the world.
