I believe all people possess the capability to be extraordinary and to contribute their unique gifts to the world. In my teaching, coaching, and training, I challenge people to risk, be authentic, be responsible and always look for possibilities. I am inspired when people wake up to our interconnectedness and go beyond self-imposed limitations to expand themselves and touch humanity. I believe we all have a unique purpose on this planet, and it is our job to find it and live it. This purpose and passion impacts how we are being and how we interact in our personal and professional lives.I have an eclectic background in arts and science, including being a tenured professor of engineering at UNC Chapel Hill, a BS in chemistry, MS in toxicology, PhD in engineering, leading roles in professional theatre productions, and solo art shows for my sculptures and paintings. This supports me in relating to many types of people from many disciplines, and it allows me to bring my passion for learning and desire for inventing creative solutions to my work with people.
