From April till June 2014 I worked at the Excel Academy teaching Maths for KS3 and KS4. From January to March I have worked at Our Lady’s as a Year 3 Teacher, where I was responsible for assisting in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher. I took charge of organising classes and responding to the strengths and needs of students during lessons. Previously I have worked in KS1 and KS2 classes in a variety of schools, where I have either delivered prepared lessons or I have planned lessons to meet the National Curriculum.I have worked on some long term contracts, as a supply teacher from Nursery to year 11, gaining experience of Primary and EYFS Frameworks, National Curriculum, Literacy and Numeracy Strategies. One of my contracts was with South Staffordshire College, as a Key Skills Lecturer teaching Functional Skills Numeracy, Literacy and ICT. Before this I worked from March 2010 till the end of the year at City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College, where I taught BTEC National ICT level 3 and A level’s in Computing and Applied ICT. I have worked as a maternity cover at Meir Park Day Nursery teaching 3 to 5 year olds from the EYFS. Previously, I worked for a few months at Park Hall Primary with year 3. I have developed the ability to be a good teacher anywhere that can think fast on my feet, and be very well prepared. I have encountered every type of pupil and managed to teach them well, with good behaviour management strategies.
