The main focus was to develop new and more robust immune-oncology biomarkers for research and clinical practice.

At Leeds I investigated the genetic differences between male and female breast cancer using genome-wide gene expression data on one of the largest cohorts of male breast cancer samples in the world. I explored the expression of differentially expressed proteins for potential biomarker analysis using digital pathology. This work illuminated candidate targets for novel therapeutic intervention in male breast cancer.
