Dr. Matt McGuire is a nationally recognized Canadian educator and researcher at the University of New Brunswick (UNB). He is currently the inaugural McKenna Fellow in Digital Education where he works to advance students’ digital competencies in both K-12 schooling and UNB’s Faculty of Education. He is a thought leader in important edtech topics like AI, virtual reality, maker spaces, and media ecology. McGuire works with universities, provinces, and school districts to to enhance teaching, learning, and research involving digital tools. McGuire is also a musician and song-writer, maker of fine hand-crafted soaps, and most importantly, father of three beautiful children.
