My commitment is deeply rooted in nurturing emotional intelligence, fostering teacher leadership, and advocating for equity. Along my journey, I've had the privilege of coaching, evaluating, and training over 300 educators across various grade levels, content areas, and school models, contributing to a holistic and inclusive approach to education.Over the course of a decade, I've held roles as a Principal, assistant principal, and classroom teacher in middle and high schools nationwide. These experiences have provided invaluable insights into the intricacies of educational dynamics. As an instructional coach, I specialized in crafting personalized learning experiences that deepen educators' understanding of the intersectionality of race and class and its profound effects on learning environments.In addition to my direct roles in education, I've also shared my expertise as an adjunct lecturer at esteemed institutions such as the Goucher Prison Education Partnership (GPEP) and Alder Graduate School of Education. My dedication to advancing educational equity is underscored by my academic achievements, including a B.A. in Women’s Studies from UCLA, an M.S. in Urban Education from Johns Hopkins University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from USC’s Rossier School of Education.
