In this role I created BAT's first front-end of innovation organisation within its New Categories business. I was responsible for the design, creation and set-up of the new organisation based in the UK and United States which focussed on leading early stage product strategy and technology development across BAT’s portfolio of vaping and tobacco heating products as well as early development of beyond nicotine products. Additionally in this role I led cross-functional future product strategy projects which laid out multi-year plans that guided the direction of the Discovery team in coming years.
