Day to day client facing support to Homeland Security and Homeland Defense missions. Provided direct PMO-Level support to the DHS National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) to integrate Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) between multiple DHS information systems and the National SAR Initiative. Oversaw design and development of enterprise geospatial and information integration solutions for DHS that included significant Bing, ESRI, and other COTS/GOTS elements. Project lead charged with establishing the Geospatial Information Infrastructure, a geospatial enterprise service bus to provide common geospatial data and application services in support of the diverse mission spaces of the Department of Homeland Security. Served as active part of the Geospatial Management Office within DHS Office of Applied Technology (CTO). Provided PMO support for complex data center consolidation and migration. Identified, documented, and disseminated best practices in data center migration that have become common practice within DHS. Other client-facing responsibilities have included 1) short term crisis support for mission-critical geospatial IT systems, 2) review and evaluation of IT policy, 3) planning, managing, and deploying improvements to IT systems, 4) managing IT lifecycle progress and ensuring compliance with Certification and Accreditation requirements, 6) DHS-wide outreach to market enterprise-applicable programs, build strategic alliances, and mitigate policy and budget-related threats to program goals and mission-critical functionality. Managed geographically distributed teams within Agile Scrum development methodologies. Served as Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner roles, with primary responsibility for product vision and market strategy. Lead Scrum Evangelist, responsible for creating and administering Scrum coursework and training to external and internal groups.
