With a patient load of 3000/day across all the facilities, I am a part of the leadership of a very dynamic team of 2500 faculties over, 30000 students and 10000 support staff delivering top tier medical services as well as training and education. Presently working as Professor and the Head of ENT-Head and Neck Surgery, and Director Alumni relations for Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India. (An Institute of Eminence, Govt. of India).Actively involved in teaching, mentoring, research, clinical trials and patient care at Kasturba Medical college & hospital, Manipal Academy of higher education, for the last 17 years. As the head of Institute of Eminence: Effective engagement & Alumni relations, I also help in driving the strategic developments and its seamless implementation, spearheading digitization efforts, optimising efficiency and working in coordination with the United Nations: Sustainability development goals.Networking with alumni has led to international collaborations, fund raising, joint research ventures, industry-academia partnerships, entrepreneurship summits, mentoring program, induction programme and reunions. INSEAD MBA 23 (Singapore/France) alum with an aim to use business as a force for good. MBA training focused on Strategy, Operations, Business &Society, Finance & Accounts, Macro & Micro Economics, Leadership development and Advanced communication skills.Selected for prestigious fellowship trainings at Graz Medical school (Austria) and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School(USA). Co-authored two text books and have published over 30 peer reviewed articles in national and international journals. Research work over the years contributes towards United nations SDG goal 3: Good health and wellbeing and has received over 130 citations. Initiated externally funded collaborations with multidisciplinary teams which initiated innovation in the university which led to Manipal-Philips tie up and enabling cutting edge work on role of AI in medicine.
