+ Worked with a broad range of customers to help select equipment and test methods appropriate for their technical and non-technical requirements.+ Prepared bid proposals and quotations based on customer needs and project specifications.+ Assisted new customers with equipment installation, proof testing, and technicaltraining. Provided continued technical support as well as assistance with equipment maintenance and calibration issues.+ Wrote and maintained equipment manuals, software documentation, test procedures, and FAQs.+ Other day-to-day responsibilities included production quality control and finalinspection, inventory control, IT support for internal operations, supervision andtraining of technicians.+ In addition to providing and servicing off-the-shelf equipment worked on a number of special projects usually in close collaboration with university researchers. A few of the examples include design of a subzero temperature controlled Triaxial cell for testing arctic ice cores inside a CT scan machine (Montana State University), direct shear machine with constant normal stiffness boundary condition (University of California, Davis), apparatus for measuring in-situ moisture-density using wave propagation (Louisiana State University), suction induced consolidation of slurries, and instrumentation for resonant-column device for measuring small-strain shear modulus of soils (private consultants).
