Currently at air up, as Head of Life Science, providing the scietific backbone on all things hydration, scent-based taste and retronasal olfaction. Previously as Head of Product at Natural Mojo, following a role of Head of R&D at her1 (ONO Labs). Before, I was the Senior Nutrition Consultant at Your Choice Nutrition, working on the nutritional management of patients with a range of health conditions and special requirements. Prior, I was Assistant Professor at the American University of the Middle East, where I lectured in nutrition and biology while continuing my research on dietary patterns. Previously I worked as research fellow at the School of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, from where I also obtained my Ph.D. on the topic of dietary patterns and ethnic-associated risk factors for the metabolic syndrome; working directly with planning, setting up and carrying out full population studies. I have been part of two mayor EU-level research projects, EuroFIR and CHANCE, which focused on the dietary assessment and the nutritional status evaluation of at-risk populations in several European countries.
