I'm a Psychiatrist, CBT Practitioner, Mindfulness Coach, Author and Medical Entrepreneur. I earned my degree in Psychiatry in India, and Leadership in Healthcare Certificate from UCLA, USA.I believe wellness has long needed a revised definition. Having spent 20+ years in child and adolescent medicine, adult psychiatry, de-addiction, tele-mental health startups, medical affairs, pharmaceuticals, clinical and behavioral research, and training corporates and schools; it’s even clearer that modernization in health care delivery is the answer to most health problems. MindFrames is an attempt in this direction.I combine healthcare and technology to maximize acceptability, accessibility, and efficacy of care. At the micro level this has involved revolutionizing wellness measurements administered online, mindfulness tools, as well as audio and visual modules and courses to reinforce the skills acquired during therapy sessions. At a macro level this encompasses wellness content delivery through print, news and digital media, and program for corporates, schools and larger organizations. My experience with therapies- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness training, pushes me to work with psychological issues of anxiety, depression, phobia, OCD, psychoses, mood disorders and personality problems; as well as lifestyle disorders like addiction, diabetes, hypertension, stress, work life imbalance, strained relationships, academic and behavior problems; and the like.Some of my work is featured in media publications like Times of India, Mid-Day, Afternoon, DNA, Femina, New Woman, Savvy, Dainik Bhaskar and Good Health to name a few, as well as radio and television channels. I authored ‘Teenage Matters’ a little teen handbook that helps adolescents live a positive and stress free life. My next book is in Press with Jaico Publishing and am eager to make a difference to many more lives.I work with clients of varied nationalities and communities worldwide, and provide services in English, Hindi, Marathi and Punjabi.
