I founded Diversity North Group to bridge scientific knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to businesses, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. As a team of DEI experts, we guide and support organizations as they create and implement a strategized agenda to realize their diversity and inclusion commitments. Our experience is deep (PhD and MBA trained) and wide: orchestra, biotech, college, financial service, Saas, museum, nonprofit human service organizations. We work to build more successful organizations, and for a just society. We will guide you to build your DEI capabilities through employee and manager training, strategy making, data collection & audit, and one-on-one coaching. Together, we address the gap between your current state and desired outcomes. We can provide the direction to get you started, or assist as you tackle specific pressing problems. Our learning sessions bring employees and managers to a common language, commitment, and knowledge level on DEI as principles and practice. We consult on the development and implementation of DEI strategy (generally, and specifically, e.g., HR, communications, risk management, Board, community relations). We lead meetings, negotiations, and convenings for strong outcomes. Our proprietary research on best practices for diversity and inclusion, and designed frameworks, cases, and team exercises identify for everyone how bias works in organizations, and how inclusive practices can be implemented. The goal is welcoming everyone, meaningfully, to participate in your organization’s work and treating them fairly when they arrive. _________I began my career as a PhD business academic. Over 15 years, I built a body of scholarly work on gender equity, expanding to a wider lens of diversity and its benefits to organizations based in cognitive, social, and behavioral variety. My research has focused particularly on STEM and the commercialization of science and on the development and financing of high growth technology firms. I’ve taught from the undergraduate to Executive level on 5 continents with particular focus on Europe and China. My research is published and well-respected internationally.
