Over 35 years of working experience ranging from Information Technology, Consulting, Internet, Project Management, Training and Education and Entrepreneurship.Tom has multi-regional exposure having worked in Malaysia, Thailand and China managing both local and foreign staff. Throughout his career,he was involved in managing multi-facets of large projects involving government and multi-national corporations. He has been the project director leading some of these projects both technical and non-technical involving consultants from different backgrounds and liaising with stakeholders from different levels of the organization ranging from the Chief Executives to the functional managers. This also includes managing change management programs in some of these organizations which are necessary to ensure effective blending of systems and human resource in these organizations. In addition, he has developed strategic IT plans as well as business continuity plans for major corporations in Malaysia. He has been involved with the Internet since 1995 and from then have always been interested in how the online environment have changed the economical and social landscape as well as purchase behavior of consumers and the fact that online environment has already become the major medium of communication with the newer generations. He completed his Doctorate in Business Administration from University of Newcastle, Australia with specialization in online consumer behavior and studied the factors influencing online purchase behavior of the Generation Y in comparison with Generation X.
