Starting as a Part-Time Shipping and Receiving worker, I begged for more work and more opportunity and was promoted to Machine operator after 3 months. I worked beneath the production supervisor, fulfilling orders and maintaining equipment on a roll converter/slitting machine. I was eventually given more responsibility to advise and assist with ordering supplies and procuring new equipment.
