Dual-position role as team leader and commercial partnerships lead, overseeing a 21-state region with five government relations directors (GRDs) and one assistant. Serve as chief state government relations contact for commercial business units and research and development sites to ensure maximum pull-through of legislative and policy priorities across the United States. Responsible for day-to-day government relations activities in Illinois.

As a Government Relations Director for Pfizer, I have over 13 years of industry-leading excellence in a role focused on government relations and public affairs for a global health and Fortune 100 company. In this role, I have directed all aspects of government relations across seven states and the City of Chicago as a key manager of state and municipal relationship management, partnership development, and advocacy for corporate interests in legislative matters. I oversee program development and strategic planning in line with organizational goals, including directing policy development for corporate strategies and plans. Moreover, I lead the analysis of proposed legislation actions, determine potential impacts and appropriate responses, and monitor specific legislative and regulatory activities. In addition to these duties, I also work on key emerging issues for the company around the country, engage statewide officers and county executives on COVID-19 topics involving Pfizer’s multiple sites in my footprint, am a key advisor for the Pfizer Foundation on philanthropic engagement in my states, and lead economic development opportunities for new construction when they arise.

In this role, I excelled as a leader in government relations for a highly regulated Fortune 500 electric and natural gas utility. I drove vital representation and advocacy of the corporation’s interests in local, state and on occasion federal matters. I also managed a seven-member team of cross-functional government representatives promoting the company’s interests in front of State of Missouri government agencies. Moreover, I spearheaded the passage of multiple pieces of legislation for the company, including sweeping Missouri utility reform with SB 179. During my time with the company, I was hand-picked to join the Ameren Leadership Team (ALT) in recognition of my effort and results.
