Enterprise Content Management project 2008 - presentSenior Software Developer & Consultant at a leading legal outsourcing company in the Channel Islands. The project involves centralizing all sources of documents into an IBM Content Manager system, and improving business processing via workflow. Application integration with various external systems has been developed using appropriate technologies.Technologies used : Java, IBM Content Manager V8 VB & Java API’s, Websphere, Servlets, IBM ICC & ICM, DB2, Visual Basic, C++Web development project 2007 - 2008Senior Web Developer on a 12 month project for a major UK clothes retailer. Agile software development was used within a small team of developers, to take a large legacy iSeries backend and allow it to be accessed from the internet via a Java web application. This allowed the retailer to connect supplier and couriers in the distribution and processing of clothing stock throughout the UK and Europe. Worked closely with the customer throughout the process, with the end result allowing significant cost savings across the business. Technologies used were : Java J2EE, Websphere, Spring Framework, Javascript, Maven, Eclipse, Birt Reporting, HTML.

Senior Developer of Integritie’s Knowledge Capture software suite, which automates a variety of Content Management tasks. The utilities were written in Visual Basic, VB.NET & C++. Extensive knowledge of Content Manager & OnDemand API’s was required to develop the tools.Worked on various high profile development projects for a number of large corporate companies (mainly financial). These bespoke projects were written according to customer preference, with Java, Perl, C++ etc. being used.

Developed PC based software solutions for use in call centres. Software covered various aspects of call management, including voice recording, call information logging, and database storage. A number of technologies were used, mainly Microsoft products such as Visual C++, COM, MFC, but web related one’s were also used such as Java and .NET. Customer site visits were a frequent occurrence, for installation, maintenance and training purposes.

Worked in the GSM team porting a legacy provisioning system onto a 3G platform, providing a core requirement for this wireless internet program. Various technologies were used on this high profile project, including JAVA, C++, JNI, XML & CORBA.Worked in the Automation team building programs to allow Telecom Engineers to perform their duties in a more effective manner. Notably, I was involved in automating test procedures within a Nortel manufacturing site, which has allowed an increase in capacity of over £100 million per year. The software, which won an automation award, was C++ based and ran on the UNIX platform.

Localisation of Adobe PhotoShop 4.0 for Danish and Finnish markets, on both Macintosh and PC platforms. The role consisted of various tasks, such as coding for the local markets, working with translators, and some graphic design. Software was written in Visual C++.
