Led the Cisco IBSG engagement with the e-Skills Institute of the Department of Communications, South Africa- shared international best practice by arranging their eSkills visits to Mexico, Kenya and Rwanda- developed a forward look for the programme to deliver 10m eSkilled South Africans by blending a range of delivery channels. Provided strategic advice to the Kenya ICT Board, and led the IBSG engagement with their Digital Village Programme.

- Provided consultancy support on skills training centres for health and community development in Pakistan- Best practice sharing with the Ministry of Health and the City of Monterrey in Mexico; King Abdullah Hospital, Saudi Arabia; Ministry of Health, Venezuela; Russian Railways.

- Developed the “eHealth Connections in Kenya” programme, working with the Ministry of Health, AfriAfya, Amref. - Assisted the Ministry of Health with ICT aspects of the Second National Health Sector Strategic Plan of Kenya.

- Initiated and developed the IPU (46 staff), commissioning work from the NHS Information Authority (750 staff, £126m budget). - Supported development of the National Programme for IT and helped secure its initial budget of £2.3bn over 3 years. - Oversaw IPU’s delivery of a wide range of policy for information systems for the National Health Service, and gave input to e-Government policy.
