About Yang Chen
I am a medical doctor by background and graduated from the University of Oxford in 2013. Since 2017, I have specialised my clinical practice in cardiovascular and acute medicine. I have also gained experience in health economic analyses, medical leadership, AI evaluation and implementing decision support systems in healthcare. I am currently funded by the NIHR to undertake research in the NHS, testing electronic health record design changes within pragmatic clinical trials. I continue to work clinically as a medical registrar across London hospitals and this helps to inform my research ideas as well as highlight the gap between theory and practice.
