Worked with a wide range of technologies to support innovation projects within Kenan-Flagler, Hussman School of Journalism and Media, and the broader University. Lead Engineer of UNC Hallpass (Covid Testing System)- Architected, implemented, and maintained the Hallpass system in AWS. The system was used by the UNC community to take and monitor over 275,000 Covid-19 tests. - Worked with multiple University teams and external teams to understand the needed functionality of the application, then led the design and implementation of the system on AWS.- Created DevOps infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, AWS ECR, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk that enabled deployments of services into a regulated AWS account and allowed iteration of the application after launch.- Implemented backend systems using Django that supported user-facing features, admin functionality, and University monitoring and analytics. - Implemented the system on a demanding timeline in preparation for the return of students to campus. Engineer on Kenan-Flagler VR Projects:- Created multiple VR business cases using Unreal 4 that were used in curriculum to supplement traditional business case studies. - Created and maintained a data tracking tool that provided real-time insights to instructors about the progress of students in the experience.- Created DevOps infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, AWS ECR, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk to manage and deploy the Django application. Engineer on Health Greeter Kiosks:- Created repeatable build and deployment pipeline for a mask detection Computer Vision application onto kiosks using Docker.- Worked on backend to collect aggregate, anonymized data from the kiosks about mask usage.
