Dan Schoedel is a great example of what happens when you merge the power of a technical theatrical background with a career starting at Pixar. You wind up with someone who can not only design but can also communicate those designs in ways that people can see and experience them. Dan serves as a Senior Consultant and Theatre Planner with Salas O'Brien. His talent in designing stagehouses, lighting, and theatrical rigging, then developing rapid photorealistic renderings and VR walkthroughs helps clients make effective project decisions. Dan also designs and programs specialty entertainment lighting to support fan experience at sporting venues. Dan’s talents have led him to highly specialized projects such as: the Observation Tower at the Circuit of the Americas; display design for Haas Pavilion, Enterprise Center, and OKC Arena; concepts for the Digital Tree at Louis Joliet Mall; and digital media for Yum Brands in Plano. Dan remains active in the Dallas/Ft. Worth theatre scene providing design for shows such as The Redhead and the Cuban, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Bonnie and Clyde, and Lord of the Flies. His film animation credits include Finding Nemo, Disney’s The Wild, and The Ant Bully. Dan is a skilled photographer. On the weekends in the spring, you might find him in field of Texas bluebonnets taking shots of his wife and daughters. Or shooting an epic iPhone commercial for his daughter's fundraiser. (It was a limited release to the grandparents' computer.)
Listed skills include Rendering, Lighting, 3D Studio Max, Compositing, and 17 others.
