Working with organisations to tackle strategic and operational challenges in all aspects of supply chain and operations through building relationships and engagement, finding solutions to problems and leading teams.

I was proud to represent LCP Consulting (now part of BearingPoint) as a council member of the representative body for young management consultants (<5 years consulting experience), who act as steering group for a network containing over 2,000 consultants across the UK, across industries and across firms. While debating and driving industry issues the organisation strives to increase the size and effectiveness of the Young MCA network.Additionally, I championed the MCA's Consulting Excellence initiative within LCP Consulting.

LCP Consulting is a specialist supply chain consultancy with a proven track record of defining and delivering successful strategic and operational change projects across organisations, with a strong focus on retailers and manufacturers. With over 20 years experience driving improvements within national and international businesses LCP continues to add value to its growing and loyal client-base. My role is pivotal to delivering successful projects with our clients through a range of activities:- Shaping, designing and driving strategic change programmes- Utilising LCP's tools, techniques and approaches to conduct robust diagnostics- Translating raw data into information and actionable insight- Delivering presentations for and facilitating workshops with senior management teams- Innovating within client processes and operating models to drive financial effectiveness- Managing work-streams and analytical activities within our teams- Developing and growing LCP

As a result of 6 months spent reviewing the M local (convenience) supply chain model, I was offered a permanent senior analyst role within the convenience team. My primary deliverable was to implement an interim, but scalable, sustainable replenishment solution to serve 300+ stores. I made a positive impact to the team and worked across functions and projects, leading and contributing to many work-streams, such as; removing significant end-to-end cost from the operating model, building administrative infrastructure into a rapidly growing team and co-ordinating and driving over 40 projects within the function.

With an academic background, and a keen interest, in supply chain management I joined the Group Wide Graduate Scheme at Morrisons to gain full exposure to a vertically integrated business.I spent the first 6 months of the programme as part of the Supply Chain Development Team, supporting the implementation of Oracle RDF/AIP and gained full responsibility for designing, creating and training out a supporting SharePoint solution. This achievement brought new intelligent and dynamic form functionality to the supply chain function, and was used by over 100 supply chain analysts on a daily basis.Secondly, I worked directly for the Logistics Development Controller in order to understand, end-to-end, the current Convenience fulfilment model and propose a sustainable solution for the rapid growth of the format. The design, build, implementation and optimisation of the solution was offered to me as a permanent role. To be given the chance to spear-head all stages of this development so early in my career was a fantastic development opportunity.

Based on postgraduate module performance, I was offered the opportunity of an industrial dissertation placement at the Port of Liverpool. The port is going through big changes with the construction of Liverpool 2, a new container terminal, which will treble container capacity through the port's transport network. I was tasked with developing a traffic management system to absorb increased levels of traffic, without impacting service level. This was complicated by the fact that the port is based on an industrial estate, with up to 30 other businesses using the road network. The project began with an extensive data capture exercise to understand the current traffic flows within the port estate, and culminated in a presentation to senior project stakeholders and a handover to a traffic management consultancy.

As a member of the Response Team I was the final barrier of security between 10,000 paying customers and world famous acts. I would be in constant contact with the central communications at the venue, while coordinating and organising a variety of security operations during performances. While presenting very intense, volatile situations, with a variety of security risks, the job was very enjoyable. The ultimate goal was to keep the customers, staff and performers safe.

During my time at IHC I worked as part of a small team of 5 who were responsible for the security and operations at a large summer camp, home to over 300 staff and 700 children between the ages of 7-16. Working 15 hour days, 6 days a week was tiring, however was very rewarding. The work I did was crucial in enabling the smooth running of the camp, and was a very enjoyable, unique, experience.

As an SMC at university I was responsible for publicising and marketing the opportunities BUNAC have to offer, as well as leading presentations, organising workshops and sharing my experiences with potential customers. This involved meeting with key stakeholders around the university and using the appropriate channels to build connections.

As a Door Supervisor I was responsible for the safety of the customers and staff, as well as ensuring the venue was acting legally. Being the final line of security it was very important that I was assertive and followed up every decision that I made. My negotiation skills developed immensely during this time as to ensure a safe outcome to a situation, it is imperative to be able to communicate with people who may be far from co-operative.

I was responsible for ensuring that exam guidelines were adhered to by all entrants.

As a retail assistant I was responsible for helping customers find the products that they wanted, responding to their requests and ensuring the customer experience was positive as possible.
