Ph.D in marketing with psychology minor from the University of Tennessee. Dissertation was "Skill in Personal Sales: An Examination of Expert Reasoning in Industrial Salespeople." Research and teaching interest have been highly influenced by several years in high tech sales/sales management prior to entering academia. Research has primarily focused on personal selling, customer service, and healthcare marketing with articles published in numerous journals, including the Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management, Psychology and Marketing, and Journal of Healthcare Marketing. Main teaching areas have been sales-related courses, as well as a variety of marketing courses including Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Industrial Marketing, Marketing Strategy, and Marketing Research.
