Implemented and oversaw the daily security operations of the Emergency Department. I monitored the physical and personal security of patients on a medical and/or psychological hold at the hospital. I used verbal deescalation skills to assist staff with patients who were or had the potential to act out verbally or physically. Assisted in the functions of personal and physical security and safety measures of Kaiser members, patients, staff and visitors. Worked to protect staff and property from theft or damage. I composed daily activity and incident reports concerning activities in the Emergency Department. I directly worked with local law enforcement daily to address safety and security issues in the emergency department and the hospital.
