Worked for both MTI as a System Administrator and taught for University of Florida and Networks of Florida at night. Had a great time extending the network, and the Exchange services for MTI with Austin S. and a good team there. Bob S. at Networks of Florida took good care of me while teaching those classes at night. Busy time, but had great friends, work mates and bosses which helped make it all worth while.
  • Aic Aerospace Integration Corporation
    Information Technology Manager
    Aic Aerospace Integration Corporation 2002 - 2004
    Ft. Walton Beach/Crestview
While supporting all employees IT needs built 5 networks and was able to keep the entire company communicating with one of the slimmest IT budgets I've ever known. Saved the company hundreds of thousands by using cost effective non-industry standard solutions. (Thanks for all the previous hints/tips and neat tidbits Paul S.) If we could do it for free, we did it. I simply knew intuitively, some big company was going to take over and help move this company into tomorrow. If you support IT, you'd get a kick out of some of the ways this company actually saved money during it's early years. I am happy for the experience as it was my first real experience providing more with less - or nothing. For you government types, I'll take the "POM for dollars" process any day over "Just make it happen - but without spending" of which was the process. Small companies with great products must "make it happen" with what they have to work with, and AIC did it. (Congrats George & early crew!)
  • __Vianet__
    Director Of Information Technology
    __Vianet__ Dec 2000 - Jun 2001
Started this job while on terminal leave from the military. This company was certainly an up and coming DOT COM who ended up disbanding due to the dot.com crash. Most know when crash hit, corporate investments dried up, of which Vianet was doing a pretty good job sustaining for a while. The new Vianet found on the internet is not leftovers of what we had at Vianet of 2000/2001, it is an entirely new company with a different product. Pete I. may have a little more to say, he was the reason we were able to sustain so long into the dot.com crash of the time. He worked long and hard to look after those of us who could hang in there.
  • Usaf
    Network Manager
    Usaf 1980 - 2001
    Ramstein Germany
I started as an Air Cargo Specialist, but retired after 20 years service with 13 of those years supporting computers and networks of my 605/2T2 breathren.
