We service a wide range of Corporate Servers, and network equipment, as well as several types of specialty equipment.Active Directory, DNS, Exchange Server, Citrix Server, Drug Dispensing Equipment, Medical Imaging Equipment, Video Walls, Point of Sale Equipment, Traffic Counters, Security Cameras, and all Smart Phones.

I was hired at A\Z to retool the Network from Novell 4.X and 5.X – Servers to Microsoft NT 4.0. After completion of the project I was offered the opportunity to lead the first IT Department and assist the Telecommunications Department. Today A\Z is well positioned as a Technology Innovator utilizing Active Directory and leveraging Microsoft Exchange 2003, Blackberry Enterprise Services and Citrix Server. A\Z facility consists of two corporations, six buildings and eleven to fourteen remote offices. I installed Microsoft Cluster Services to give the company a redundant SAN and to host all business critical software packages. I now supervise three technicians and a Junior MCSE. I also purchase all the hardware, software and licensing for both corporations. Performed as lead field engineer for the construction of customer data facilities:

Assessed the overall value of the company’s hardware and network needs. I moved the network to Providence, RI from Raleigh, NC. I designed and installed and NT Servers and Workstations. Contracted competent VBA programming staffs to make sure the Company’s short and long term goals were achieved. I installed the new NT 4.0 Servers in a C2 secured configurations. I hosted the Company’s web site internally on Internet Information Server 5.0. It’s clients accessed the confidential medical records over the web utilizing a Web Browser and SQL 7.0. Enterprise Edition running the back office. The VBA programmers that were hired automated many internal and external processes cutting the Company’s high overhead.

At the library I was the senior domain administrator working under Mr. Peter Bennett. I was responsible for the main library as well as nine branches. I had administrative control over all NT Servers, PDC, BDC, IIS Web Servers, and the DiskPort Executive Server. These Servers provide Web Page Publishing, Database Access and Domain Security for CLAN (Cooperating Libraries Automated Network). CLAN provides access to the over 3 million items owned by the 48 member libraries. My duties included domain administration and training of all level 1 and level 2 technical support personnel, installations, upgrades and troubleshooting of all hardware and software at level 3, create Fast CD’s and write scripts on the Disk Port Executive Server (databases), purchase hardware and software as needed. During my employment at Providence Public Library, I designed, built, and installed new workstations for the managers. I also purchased and installed Uninterruptible Power Supplies protecting all mission critical data. Services running at Providence Public Library include DHCP, Wins, DNS, SNMP, and TCP/IP.
