Developed new LeaderBoard application using Microsoft Power Platform in collaboration with the original developer and various stakeholders. This application was built with Microsoft Power Apps on the front-end and SharePoint on the back-end. Routine workflows are automated with this app, such as new item creation, providing status updates, and holding different meeting types. Additionally, Leaders could subscribe to various areas of interest and receive notifications with updates on items they are subscribed to.Leaders have a preferences screen where they could fine-tune their subscription settings, in addition to adding and removing subscribers. Subscriptions preferences could be toggled between two states: immediate—for time-sensitive information—or digest. When a change is made to an item, any Leaders subscribed with immediate notification preferences are notified immediately of these changes, while the subscribers who prefer digest notifications are notified daily with a digest email containing a list of updates. Additionally, this application displays the status of all Leaders’ items in a convenient format—sorted by priority— and facilitates different types of meetings being held. Different items are assigned to different meetings, and prior to the beginning of a meeting, a tile view of the items is displayed, allowing for last-minute changes. Some of these include: editing, creating, postponing, or deleting an item. When an item is removed, created, or postponed, the item counter is updated and different meeting types can be selected.When a meeting is started, individual items are displayed in a detail view. During the meeting, new walk-on items could be created and assigned to a speaker. An item timer shows how long each item is being discussed, helping improve efficiency. Finally, a PDF viewer was created with my teammate, allowing a PowerPoint presentation to be displayed by a Leader while an item is being presented.
