I work as a field service engineer in the Toolings sector. I visit customer site to calibration and/or service their Atlas Copco tooling. This takes me anywhere in the UK.I also install Tooslnet, which is a data collection service. I also install other softwares within the Atlas range.I also do some customer training on various equipment.

Derby

I work alone in a Crib as a on site engineer for Rolls Royce in Derby. During the week I carry out servicing and calibration of wireless tooling. This may include any programming that may be needed to assist the shopfloor. I'm on call 24 hours a day to assist any problems that may arise as they work 24 hours a day.During my time in Derby I have implemented a new system to improve the efficiency of the calibration procedure. This has cut down the return time of the tools and has helped the engineers on the shopfloor to carry on with their work, without having to wait for tooling. I have also carried out training for the use of the tooling.I have also created excel work books to aid and capture information. One was created to track down tools easier and to assist any engineer that may replace me. Another was created to capture information in reference to the working of the tooling to prolong the calibration event. I have also created guides to aid in the running of the crib, including the working of Gage Insight.

Hm Forces

Co-ordinated, supervised and planned the sections equipment for mandatory inspections and routine maintenance. Carried out the requisition of parts, inspection of defects and repairs while documenting on the various computer systems (James/FEMIS).Supervised a team of tradesman on a daily routine, administration, discipline and technically. Trained, advised and guided tradesman throughout the different class spectrums. Ensuring they were trained in the correct working practices and that they were carried out in accordance with the current legistations. Commanded two fitter sections in hostile territory. One of them being a power pack run up facility to test and repair CV12, L60 and CV8 power packs. The total amount of equipment that I looked at was over £12 million.The fitter section had two locally employed contractors, whcih I carried out adminstration and helped any issues for them within reason. LEAN was implementated into the daily running aspects of inspection, repair and maintenance.Succesfully passed two internal audits.In my career I have commanded a challenger armoured repair and recovery vehicle (CRARRV) twice in Canada. This was used to succesfully aid the battle group for training. At one point being the only CRARRV fully fit and became the brigades assest. Used initiative and minimal resources while producing a professional service to maintain the equipment for battle worthiness. This was a test physically and mentally even through high pressure and stress.

Carried out daily tasks to ensure the business was ready to commerce the following day.Became a supervisor at 18 and helped run the night shift with a team of over 20 members.Satrted mangement training for grocery manager.
