Overall responsibility for national and international enterprise risk management operations for a $2.6 billion dollar company with over 1600 locations in 95 countries. Responsible for negotiations and management of all lines of insurance domestic and international, manage and direct brokers, insurance carriers, outside counsel, claims management, budgets, alternative risk financing, safety, and workers compensation programs.

Responsible for enterprise risk management of the organization. Includes medical mal practice, self-insured workers compensation program, property and casualty lines of insurance, executive risk, and real estate acquisitions and development. Lead risk management, safety, and security initiatives for publicly traded post secondary education company with 109 locations across the U.S. and Canada. Oversee elimination/decrease of income loss and risks resulting from employee injuries and property damage. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies including OSHA, DOL, and DOE. Manage, negotiate, and settle all workers’ compensation claims for all locations and conduct semi-annual claims review meetings. Manage, purchase and coordination of commercial insurance policies including high deductible/paid loss self insurance workers’ compensation programs. Cultivate and establish relationships with key insurance brokers.

Performed risk management operations for reciprocal insurance exchange company providing commercial property coverage throughout United States and Canada. Oversaw established book-of-business of multistate property and casualty insurance company to ensure profitability and maintain corporate goals.
