Responsible for planning & completion of several network improvement engineering projects including network audits, node & link acceptance testing, network installation, fibre patching etc, as well as fault finding and resolution.Involved in replacement and migration of legacy networks such as TN-16X/DX/64X to newer platforms such as Ciena CN4200/Nortel OME line/Huawei 8800. Projects require audit of existing platforms and planning traffic consolidation to determine requirements, install, commission and perform Network Acceptance Testing (NAT) procedures, complete planned engineering works (PEWs) to migrate customers to new platforms.Experienced in SDH & PDH networks as well as DWDM optical transport networks. Good experience with several vendor platforms including Nortel (TN-1X/1C, OM4K, OM5K, OME6K, DX/LH/64X), Ciena (CN4200), Lucent (ADM16/1, ADM4/1), Huawei (OSN8800) & Keymile (UMUX 1300, 1500). Experience with JDSU Atlas RTUs.Good field experience including network element and optical installation as well as office based project management.

Responsible for the management and resolution of major and serious network incidents within service level agreements as well as production of detailed reason for outage (RFO) reports and ensuring adequate corrective actions are put in place to minimise the likelyhood of repeat failures.Responsible for network change management, ensuring network changes are carried out in a controlled manner and documented.
