I started my 30-year semiconductor career as a Product Engineer at Cypress Semiconductor. Progressing through roles of increasing responsibility in engineering, I have developed organizations and businesses profitably at start-ups and large public companies. Throughout my career, I have successfully improved gross margin and supply chain efficiency by applying rigorous analysis to supply chain problems. My expertise primarily lies in outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) management, cost reduction strategies for improved gross margin, and connecting technical challenges with tangible business outcomes. My professional experience extends through engineering, operations, and business unit management. Additionally, I have had the unique experience of operating from both the supplier and purchaser perspectives within the supply chain for semiconductor components. I have managed profit and loss statements, developed project budgets, and successfully negotiated contracts for multi-million dollar ASIC design and development projects. These engagements have exposed me to cutting-edge semiconductor wafer fabrication and packaging technologies. All the knowledge and experiences I gained coalesced in the establishment of Resurgent Semiconductor. The driving force behind Resurgent was the commitment to minimize the impact of end-of-life (EOL) events for semiconductor components, benefiting both the original component manufacturer and the component's customers. Drawing from my experience in managing legacy product lines, I recognized the immense potential in this field to create a thriving business model based on licensing manufacturing rights for legacy components. With the subsequent acquisition of Resurgent Semiconductor by Flip Electronics, Resurgent Manufacturing Services emerged with a similar goal, but with an increased focus on customer needs. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Flip, Resurgent is empowered to offer a broader range of solutions to bridge the gap between the lifecycle of semiconductor components and the end products that rely on them. This enables Resurgent to turn supply chain challenges into resounding product successes.
