Fortunate that the period was the beginning of apple macs and desktop publishing enabling start-ups to get off the ground on their own account.

    Having resurrected the folded St Helens branch of Landlife voluntarily while at college, I worked with the Liverpool based Director, Grant Luscombe, assisting him to establish a Manpower Services Commission (MSC) employment scheme (because of high unemployment nationally and particularly in Merseyside at the time) for 17 people which would employ me as supervisor of the scheme for two years after finishing college.
